Hospital Chaplaincy is essential in providing spiritual and pastoral care to individuals facing illness and
suffering. The unique challenges and emotional distress experienced by patients in hospital
settings highlight the need for compassionate and supportive pastoral and spiritual care.
It is important to emphasize that this form of ministry extends beyond ordained clergy, such as priests, deacons,
and religious men and women, as it welcomes the involvement of Catholic devotees who possess a deep sense of empathy
and a genuine desire to provide comfort and companionship to their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Through hospital ministry, individuals can offer prayers, emotional support, and active presence to those navigating the difficulties of illness and suffering.
In South San Mateo County, we have established a robust pastoral ministry to provide unwavering support for our
sick community members in the hospital. Our dedicated volunteers, including Pastoral Care Ministers/
Eucharistic Ministers and Prayer Warriors work together seamlessly. Their unwavering dedication inspires all.
Their commitment to providing Holy Communion and offering fervent prayers is genuinely inspiring.
Furthermore, our Prayer Warriors, a group of dedicated individuals committed to the spiritual well-being
of our community, commit to praying for the healing of individual patients for nine consecutive days.
They incorporate specific saints' intercessions related to the patient's health challenges,
believing in the power of collective prayer and the intercession of saints in healing.
In addition, we gather together in a Healing Mass every third Friday of the month at 6 pm, serving as the cornerstone
of our prayers and sacraments. Our Catholic community actively participates in this healing mass, experiencing the profound love,
compassion, mercy, and healing of Jesus Christ through the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit.
This collective prayer, a testament to our unity and strength, is an indispensable
and powerful tool in our ministry, uniting us all in our shared mission.
I sincerely hope this website will serve as a comforting channel for our sick brothers and sisters to request prayers
and petitions for the healing of our Lord Jesus Christ. Remember, God is faithful to his promise to us, as He said,
"Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them and reveal to them an abundance of prosperity and security." (Jeremiah 33:6)
Please join me in supporting the Catholic Church's advocacy for mercy and healing.
In our little way, we can be partakers in Jesus' Divine Plan, united in our shared mission
as we all embrace our calling to care and love for our brothers and sisters in dire spiritual desolation.
May Almighty God continue to bless, protect, and heal us all.

Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise. (Jeremiah 17:14)
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed. (1Peter 2:24)
A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. (Proverbs 17:22)
And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. (James 5:15)
Heavenly Father, I thank you for loving me.
I thank you for sending your Son,
Our Lord Jesus Christ, to the world to save and to set me free.
I trust in your power and grace that sustain and restore me.
Loving Father,
touch me now with your healing hands,
for I believe that your will is for me to be well in mind, body, soul and spirit.
Cover me with the most precious blood of your Son,
our Lord, Jesus Christ from the top of my head to the soles of my feet.
Cast anything that should not be in me.
Root out any unhealthy and abnormal cells.
Open any blocked arteries or veins and rebuild and replenish any damaged areas.
Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection
by the power of Jesus’ precious blood.
Let the fire of your healing love pass through my entire body
to heal and make new any diseased areas
so that my body will function the way you created it to function.
Touch also my mind and my emotion,
even the deepest recesses of my heart.
Saturate my entire being with your presence,
love, joy and peace and draw me ever closer to you every moment of my life.
And Father, fill me with your Holy Spirit
and empower me to do your works
so that my life will bring glory and honour to your holy name.
I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Dear Lord Jesus, please come and heal my wound and troubled heart.I beg you to heal the torments that are causing anxiety in my life. Heal my memories so that nothing that has happened to me Will cause me to remain in pain and anguish, filled with anxiety.
Heal, O Lord, all those wounds that have been the cause of evil that is rooted inMy life. I want to forgive those who have offended me. Look to those inner sores that makeMe unable to forgive. You who came to forgive the afflicted of heart, please heal my woundedAnd troubled heart.
Heal, O Lord Jesus, all those intimate wounds that are the root cause of my physical illness.I offer you my heart. Accept it, Lord, purify it, and give me the sentiments of your Divine Heart.
Heal me, O Lord, from the pain caused by the death of my loved ones. Grant me to regainPeace and joy in the knowledge that you are the Resurrection and the Life.
Make me anAuthentic witness to your resurrection, your victory over sin and death, and your loving presenceAmong all men.

"Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen"

In the midst of a busy and chaotic world, it can be difficult to find inner peace. However, through meditation, mindfulness practices, prayers and spending in silence with our Lord Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, it is possible to cultivate a sense of calm and tranquility.
Forgiveness can be a difficult and challenging process, but it is also incredibly powerful. By letting go of anger and resentment, we can free ourselves from negative emotions and move forward with compassion, mercy, wisdom and understanding.
Gratitude is a powerful emotion that can shift our perspective and help us find joy in even the smallest things. By cultivating a sense of gratitude to God, we can increase our overall happiness and well-being.
We are a healing and prayer ministry. Our advocacy for healing and prayer has a profound impact on our community. We would appreciate it if you follow the guidelines below when requesting prayers.
Please use the "Prayer Request " form below to send the patient's name and provide specific information about the health challenges that our sick brothers and sisters face. This will empower us to assign the proper saints to intercede for healing.
I appreciate your cooperation.
Peace
